Do you want to learn to draw? Or you have been drawing for a while, but would like to learn more? Or would you simply like to spend more time practicing in an inspiring environment? Our teacher Dani will be more than happy to guide you in this creative process. Do check out his work on his website and on Instagram.

On this workshop holiday, half of the day will be spent drawing together, whilst the rest of the day is free to explore the surroundings, relax or—for the truly dedicated—draw even more. In between, we’ll be pampering you with healthy and delicious food!

The course:
Everyone who's ever drawn has probably used a pencil at some point. However, it is often used just as a conceptual tool, to sort our ideas on paper, to define compositions or to sketch outlines. One could say that the bare bones of the illustration are done with a pencil, but the finishing is done with other techniques. In this course, we will explore the possibilities of graphite, and discover in it a first-rate tool for producing complete illustrations: a technique that is full of atmospheric and expressive potential, from the most subtle to the most striking, and one that is unrivalled in reflecting the creator’s purpose. At the same time, we will teach you the basics of composition, with strategies drawn not only from painting and illustration, but also from the theatre and cinema, and we will start drawing from nature taking advantage of the magnificent surroundings we will be staying in. The goal in of all this is that we produce complete, finished works—expressive, narrative and made exclusively with pencil—that will illustrate some proposed texts.

Please bring the following materials:

* Drawing paper:
- sketch pad
- grey paper
- white card

* Lead (graphite) pencils of the following hardness
-2H
-2B
-6B

* Graphite crayons (4B)

* Colour pencils

* Rubber (eraser), pencil sharpener, blending stump

The course will be given in English and Spanish, depending on participants’ needs.
